Kurb AI ("Kurb," "we," "us," or "our") is published by Axiom Trinity Labs, LLC. We respect your privacy and built this app to require as little personal information as possible. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Kurb AI, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Kurb AI uses Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. We do not offer email/password accounts. When you sign in, we receive:
We do not see or store your Apple ID or Google password. We never request access to your calendar or social graph. (Choosing an accountability buddy uses Apple's system contact picker, which returns only the single contact you select — see Section 1.4.)
During onboarding you answer a short questionnaire (how often you order, typical order size, peak craving time, fitness goal, etc.). These answers are stored in your account so the app can personalize stats, calorie estimates, and the AI's responses. They are never sold or shared with advertisers.
To power the money-saved and calories-avoided counters on the Stats screen, we record the following events tied to your account:
The core of Kurb AI is the Confession Gate: to unlock a blocked app, you send a brutally honest "confession" text to an accountability buddy you choose. To make that work we collect and store, in your account:
Please only add someone who has agreed to be your accountability buddy. You are responsible for having that person's permission to store their number and to text them. You can change or remove your buddy at any time in the app.
The confession itself is sent through Apple's Messages app from your own device. Kurb AI does not send it for you and does not keep a copy of your conversation.
When you attempt to unlock a blocked app, Kurb AI writes the confession message for you. To do this we send your buddy's first name and your own aggregate stats (such as estimated amount spent and number of orders) to our server, which uses AI to generate the message. After you send it, you take a screenshot of the Messages thread and upload it so we can confirm the confession actually went to your buddy:
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your credit card number, billing address, or full Apple ID. From RevenueCat (our subscription provider) we receive subscription status events such as trial start, renewal, cancellation, refund, and product identifier.
We may collect basic information about your device (iOS version, device model, app version, anonymous device identifier) and crash logs to keep the app working. This information is not used for advertising.
Kurb AI is built on a small stack of vendors. Each one handles a specific function and is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
We do not currently share data with advertising networks or marketing analytics providers.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
We retain your account, settings, and event history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 8), we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records of subscription transactions). Backups are purged on a rolling basis. Anonymized, aggregated counts that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
Kurb AI is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and if you are between 13 and 18 you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed this policy and agreed to it on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at team@trykurb.app and we will delete it.
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time:
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA / CPRA.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
You can revoke each iOS permission at any time in iOS Settings → Kurb AI. Revoking Screen Time / Family Controls disables app blocking. You can change or remove your accountability buddy at any time inside the app.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS), encryption at rest in our database, row-level access control, and least-privilege server keys. No system can be 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Axiom Trinity Labs, LLC is based in the United States. Our service providers (Apple, Google, Supabase, RevenueCat) operate globally. If you use Kurb AI from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using the app you consent to that transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or by email. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
